Happenings at ECRA

What’s going on at ECRA these days?

Well, as of October 2021, the following:

MEMBERSHIP IS UP! But we still need your support! Not a member? Consider joining to help keep your favorite ECRA repeater(s) on the air. Site rent is expensive – it’s the members and donors that make it happen. The more members and support we get, the easier it is to keep things on the air and running smoothly! Already a member or contributor? THANK YOU for your support! It makes a difference, it really does!

It was decided that Dan/DCF should be the trustee of 147.030 and 449.980, so those machines now carry the KD6DCF callsign in light of Gran’s departure from the hobby…

Work continues on updating the equipment for Palomar Mountain, both on VHF and UHF. Stay tuned, Chris/AJM is diligently working on it!

We lost Gran/RIF on the 20th of August. A major loss to ECRA and the amateur community in general. We’ll miss you, Gran! We’ll keep the club going, we know you’re with us in spirit always.

Pat/PZB moved out to Payson, Arizona. He’s going to keep working on the newsletter, but needs your help and material contributions (meaning articles, etc.).

Is there a better time or date or location for the monthly meeting? Make your voice heard. If you have a suggestion then please drop an e-mail to info@ecra-sd.com and let us know.

  • MEETINGS ARE BACK! You now have no excuse not to be there, details on the main page.

Pat McDonald, KD6PZB edits “The Repeater”, ECRA’s own periodical. Want to submit an article or information to “The Repeater”? Drop Pat an e-mail, visit the Contact ECRA page for more information.

CURRENT SYSTEM STATUS (August, 2021): Everything is online and working properly with the following exceptions:

  • KA6DAC Repeater (147.240) continues to experience noise on the CalZona link. We are completely aware of it, and it’s being worked on.
